...to the official Collin County Libertarian Party website!

If you are new to the libertarian political philosophy and are here to find more information, you came to the right place.

The Collin County Libertarian Party is your representative in local politics. We are the only political organization which respects you as a unique and competent individual. We believe in the American heritage of freedom, liberty and limited government, and we recognize the responsibility we all share to preserve this precious heritage. We also believe being free and independent is a great way to live and we want a system which encourages all people to choose what they want from life; that which lets them live, love, work, play, and dream their own way.

We promote a caring, people-centered approach to politics. We believe each individual is unique and want a system which respects the individual and encourages each of us to discover the best within ourselves and develop our full potential. The Libertarian way is a logically consistent approach to politics based on the moral principle of self-ownership. Each individual has the right to control his or her own body, action, speech, and property. Government's only role is to help individuals defend themselves from force and fraud.

The Collin County Libertarian Party is for all who don't want to push other people around and don't want to be pushed around themselves. Live and let live is the Libertarian way. We invite you to join us!

Former Sessions Contributor Follows Wick Allison's Clarion Call, Switches to John Jay Myers

Dallas, TX - John Jay Myers was humbled when he received a call from a former Sessions contributor who informed the Libertarian candidate for Congress in the 32nd Congressional District that he was matching the highest contribution he had ever made to Sessions by immediately writing a check to John Jay Myers for Congress.

"I wish to thank those who are putting their trust in me by making such financial commitments," said Myers.   "I pledge that when I am elected to Congress I will work to earn the trust they have placed in me."

The contributor, Eugene J. Flynn, a Dallas attorney, had supported Sessions in the past, particularly regarding his support of free trade.  Flynn stated, "Sessions' positions on so many other issues are in opposition to free market principles that I could no longer waste my money sending it to Pete Sessions. Instead I decided to spend my money more wisely on a candidate far more dedicated to the free market."

Liberty Quotes

An Avidity to punish is always dangerous to liberty. It leads men to stretch, to misinterpret, and to misapply even the best of laws. He that would make his own liberty secure must guard even his enemy from oppression; for if he violates this duty he a establishes a precedent that will reach to himself.

– Thomas Paine
