Ron Baker on Taxation

The Collin County Libertarian Party was thrilled to host Ron Baker, author and talk-show host at our monthly meeting on May 6th at the Spring Creek Campus of Collin College.Ron shared with us his thought on the origins of taxation, the enlightenment thinkers on taxaxtion and as a CPA, the alternatives to the current tax system in the United States.Before the reader object with the “taxation is theft” mantra, rest assured that Ed Kless, Chair of the Collin County Libertarian Party acknowledged that and Ron said, he would be happy to talk tax revolution, but the subject on this evening was tax reform.Ron acknowledged that many insights he shared were found in Charles Adams great book, For Good and Evil: The Impact of Taxes on the Course of Civilization.Ron’s slides can be found here:Ron is the Founder of the VeraSage Institute and the best selling author of six books including Implementing Value Pricing and his latest book The Soul of Enterprise: Dialogues on Business in the Knowledge Economy co-authored with our county chair, Ed Kless.
