– Gratitude: Got to go back to his job.  Income is good.

  1. Approval of Previous Monthly Meeting Minutes and Secretary’s Report (Paul Thompson) 7:01 – approved and accepted.

  • Vice-chair (Nathan Polsky) 7:03
    • Keep Allen Beautiful – Rich Moore found custom safety vests
    • Required April clean up (Earth Day – Date TBA) 
    • McDermott Dr. and Alma (four corners by Kroger and gas stations)
    • Will be making graphics for it.
    • Two separate Senate Bill
      • Hughs introduce (chair of the election committee) – increase percentage for ballot access from 5 – 10 for State Wide races
      • Middleton – Do away with any convention elections in TX. You can only put people on ballots by primaries. (About 1 million per candidate to petition)
      • Reach Out to Angela Paxton and Jeff Leech to say no. (will be in the newsletter)

    • Talked to Kevin Hale about School Choice bills that may be good for liberty.
    • Moses Rose protest at the Alamo.
      • Vince Cantu – owner.  Bar is getting torn down to be turned into a visitor center using eminent domain.
      • Protest March by Behr County this Saturday from 4pm. 
    • Book Rec: Creating our Freedom: Leading a Culture of Chosen Accountability and Belonging.  “People do not resist change; they resist coercion.”

    • 2 motions
      • Policy regarding staff positions – must be affiliated with the state
      • Policy – adjust the members required for the new county affiliation team. 
      • Counties can sign up for political info on new L2 program

  • NP motion: to allocate $200 for Safety Vests

      • No objection – motion carries 7:28
  • Potentially meet at TJ’s gelato shop
